Andrei Kobyakov met with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin

Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov suggests organizing the delivery of new Belarusian innovative equipment to Moscow. He made the statement at the meeting with Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin in Moscow.

“We are interested in the delivery of equipment to Moscow. We have new innovative projects which can be in demand in Moscow,” Andrei Kobyakov said.

The Belarusian Prime Minister noted that the trade and economic relations with Moscow are diverse. In 2013 the trade turnover made up $5 billion. However, the economic situation has recently had an impact on the trade volume. “But it is still high. Our main objective is to exceed the volume of $5 billion,” Andrei Kobyakov said. The Prime Minister added that in 2015 Belarus exported $0.5 billion worth of food to Moscow.

The Belarusian head of government also stressed that Belarus is interested in the development of construction cooperation with Moscow. In his opinion, Belarusian architects and designers can take part in the projects to beautify the Russian capital.

In turn, Sergei Sobyanin thanked the Belarusian side for the supply of food, equipment and participation in the construction of the Moscow metro. According to him, Moscow and Minsk are connected by a huge history of the relationship and mutual penetration of economies. For Moscow, Belarus is one of the main partners - Sergei Sobyanin said.

Sergei Sobyanin said that the Russian capital has started to purchase large volumes of Belarusian municipal vehicles, buses, trolley buses. Special thanks he made for supplies of Belarusian foodstuffs to Moscow after Russia introduced the embargo on Western products.

Also today, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited the new business and cultural center of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia. Explanations guests on a tour of the complex gave the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko. He informed about the uniqueness of the building project, the stages of its construction and functionality.

Sergei Sobyanin, left the first entry in the book of honorable guests of the complex. "New business center - a symbol of cooperation between Moscow and Minsk," - wrote the Moscow Mayor.
