Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov in Moscow today handed Belarus state awards to representatives of the Russian leadership and Russian media. The ceremony was held at the embassy of Belarus in Russia in Moscow.

Among the recipients - the Russian State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, who according to the decree of the President of Belarus was awarded the Order of Honor and First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples. They received state awards of Belarus for the considerable personal contribution to the preparation of an agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union, the development and expansion of integration processes, the strengthening of economic cooperation between Belarus and Russia.

Awarding high state awards to representatives of Belarus, the Russian government and the press corps says about the special relationship between our two countries, said the speaker of the State Duma of Russia Sergei Naryshkin. "We are very close and reliable partners in the economy, in the humanitarian sphere, defense and security, - he said. - I am sure that this partnership between Belarus and Russia will continue to develop."
