The sides discussed prospects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the conditions of implementation of joint projects.

"Tatarstan to Belarus - a longtime friend and biggest economic partner. Our trade and economic cooperation is rather serious proportions," said Andrei Kobyakov.

In turn, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Belarus and Tatarstan are actively cooperating on various fronts. "We discussed the possibility of participation of Belarusian enterprises in the program of fleet renewal of agricultural machinery. In Tatarstan has more than 16 thousand Belarusian tractors and harvesters. Expect that in the near future we will significantly fill up this Park, because such equipment has the need for renewal and modernization," he said.

In addition, Belarus and Tatarstan are considering the possibility of joint production of passenger vehicles. "We readily accepted the proposal for cooperation in joint production and supply of trolley buses and trams, which are currently not produced in Tatarstan", - said Andrei Kobyakov.

Belarus is also ready to offer the PJSC "KAMAZ" a wide range of advanced automotive components. "We expect to participate in the program of import substitution, which is being held in Russia, specifically at KAMAZ, and offer a range of modern components, not inferior either in price or in quality to foreign analogues", - said Andrei Kobyakov. In the near future Belarus and Tatarstan will actualize the roadmap of trade-economic cooperation. "Belarus is one of the leading trading partners of Tatarstan. Today, with Belarusian colleagues discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. We need to update the road map of joint actions for expansion of trade-economic and investment cooperation", - Rustam Minnikhanov noted.

According to him, the meeting was able to identify the main areas of work to expand the nomenclature and increase bilateral trade. The sides agreed to intensify the work of the joint working group for development cooperation. "It is important to deepen the cooperation of our manufacturers, particularly in the fields of engineering and high technology. Among priority areas of cooperation are petrochemistry, industrial complex, including light industry. These areas will be the subject of special attention of our ministries and departments", - he said.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted also that the wide opportunities are opened and the parties in cooperation in the field of culture, science, education, sports and tourism. "Still can't fully use the existing potential. I am convinced that the visit to Tatarstan of the Belarusian delegation will contribute to further development of cooperation between our republics. In difficult times we should support each other," he concluded.
