Andrei Kobyakov met with Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov on 7 June met with Kyrgyz counterpart Sooronbaу Jeenbekov.

The meeting was held before the meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments of States - participants of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

"Today we have the opportunity to discuss our bilateral trade and economic cooperation. It has a fairly solid Foundation. But lately for various reasons, first of all the objective associated with a difficult economic situation in the CIS, the volume of mutual trade turnover has decreased, but I think that today we will devote part time to those areas that can add significantly", - noted Andrei Kobyakov.

He expressed hope that Belarus and Kyrgyzstan have not only return to the maximum values of trade between countries, but also surpass them. "We are together in the Eurasian economic Union. We are glad that Kyrgyzstan joined it. These benefits must be used", - said the Belarusian Head of Government.

In turn, Sooronbaу Jeenbekov thanked Andrei Kobyakov for participation in the meeting and expressed hope for intensification of trade-economic cooperation between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.
