Stable Belarusian economy through new export-oriented enterprises

The stability of the Belarusian economy lies with setting up export-oriented enterprises. The statement was made by Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky on November 21 as the second technological line for manufacturing mineral wool products based on basalt fibre was launched in Gomelstroimaterialy company. The more similar enterprises Belarus has, the faster and simpler it will be to overcome negative phenomena on the global market.

 

BELARUS READY TO HOST 2 THOUSAND OSSETIAN KIDS FOR RECUPERATION

Belarus will send humanitarian aid to the people of South Ossetia affected by the military conflict, Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky said at the meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on August 14. A special committee for the dispatch of the humanitarian aid has been set up in Belarus. A list of the items to be sent to South Ossetia has been agreed. It includes food and warm clothing. Sergei Sidorsky also noted that Belarus is ready to host two thousand Ossetian children for recuperation.

The head of the Belarusian government said that the Belarusian citizens are making a voluntary charitable contribution to the people of South Ossetia affected by the conflict.

At the meeting Sergei Sidorsky extended his condolences to Vladimir Putin in connection with the deaths of people in South Ossetia. “We are ready to do our best so that the citizens of South Ossetia could return to normal life as soon as possible,” the Belarusian Premier said.

The difference in export/import tariffs of Belarus and Russia is reducing, Prime Minister of Russian Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Belarus’ Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky in Moscow on august 14.

The Russian Premier said that the downtrend “in the export/import tariffs bears positively on the economic relations between the two countries.”

Vladimir Putin also informed that the economic issues will be considered in detail at a meeting in late September - early October.

The Prime Minister of Russia also informed that the Presidents of Belarus and Russia will soon meet in Sochi.

Belarus to provide humanitarian assistance to Cuba

Belarus reduces oil export duty November 1
