Belarus-Kazakhstan relations are sustainable

| Kazakhstan attaches great significance to the development of trade and economic cooperation with Belarus, said Kazakh Emergencies Minister, co-chair of the Belarus-Kazakhstan commission for trade and economic cooperation Vladimir Bozhko during the meeting of business circles of the two countries in Brest on June 18. |
According to Vladimir Bozhko, the recent high-profile meetings gave an additional impetus to the development of the bilateral relations. The ongoing visit of the Kazakh governmental delegation to Belarus is also aimed at promoting Belarus-Kazakh cooperation.
Vladimir Bozhko informed that the delegation consisting of 50 people includes representatives of six ministries, 11 oblasts of Kazakhstan and the city of Astana, heads of 20 leading companies and economic entities, scientists and scholars. “We are convinced that we do not know Belarus very well yet, including the areas where the country has made a major breakthrough. We plan to offer the Belarusian side our know-how in the key branches of our economy,” Vladimir Bozhko underlined.
Belarus and Kazakhstan have outlined a big number of joint projects that would boost the bilateral cooperation, Ivan Bambiza, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, told media following the 6th session of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Kazakhstan commission for trade and economic cooperation.
“The global financial crisis has left its impact both on Belarus and Kazakhstan, what is seen by the indices in mutual trade,” Ivan Bambiza said. He stressed that “despite all difficulties, the two countries continue developing their relations, keep the level when both the sides are able to implement joint projects”.
According to Emergencies Minister of Kazakhstan Vladimir Bozhko, chairman of the Kazakh part of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Kazakhstan commission for trade and economic cooperation, there are concrete proposals to strengthen the use of the Belarusian refineries, set up joint ventures, produce agricultural equipment and refrigerators in Kazakhstan. The two sides are also interested in cooperation on healthcare, education, engineering industry, food production. “The two countries can benefit from these cooperation areas as they allow settle economic issues as well as improve friendly relations between the two countries,” Vladimir Bozhko said.
