Economic mechanisms should be introduced to encourage cashless payments, said Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky at a session of the Council of Ministers Presidium on 15 June. The session was supposed to discuss the progress in fulfilling the 2006-2010 state program for developing the physical infrastructure that enables the use of plastic bank cards.

Sidorsky to travel to Russia 20-21 May

Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky will go to Russia (S.-Petersburg) on a working visit on 20-21 May to take part in sessions of the supreme body of the Customs Union and the EurAsEC Interstate Council at the level of the heads of government. The Belarusian Prime Minister will also attend a session of the CIS council of the heads of government.
