Under the long-term plan for innovative development in the Ministry of Finance system for 2007-2010 the following projects will be implemented:
- to install the combined papermaking machine to produce the paper with high protection degree;
- to renovate the paper shop and install the second papermaking machine in the town of Borisov;
- to make the own dandy-roll shop for roller making, to design and install the surface water purification unit (river of Berezina) for industrial supply to the paper shop (Paper-mil of Goznak, Unitary Enterprise);
- to build the production of protective laminates and other import-substituting protective materials for passports and plastic identity documents and to develop the domestic production technologies (KRIPTOTEKH of Goznak, Republic Unitary Enterprise).
The implementation of the innovative project “Reconstruction of the Buildings and Rooms of the Branch “ZAVOD YUVELIR” of the Republican Diamond-Processing Unitary Enterprise “Gomel Production Association “KRISTALL” (including the modernization of the intruder and fire alarm and engineering reinforcement systems) will enable the Republican Diamond-Processing Unitary Enterprise “Gomel Production Association “KRISTALL” to accomplish the transfer of the diamond-processing production based on new high technologies to the Branch “ZAVOD YUVELIR” premises and to create the favourable conditions for its further development.
The implementation of this innovative project will enable to decrease the costs for the goods produced, to increase the extent of the goods produced, to raise competitive capacity of the goods in the foreign market, to intensify the control for safe keeping of precious metals and precious stones and to create the necessary conditions for income-generating high-technology diamond-processing production and for further effective development of the import-substituting jewelry production. The released premises of the enterprise being the size of 10,000 m2 will be included to the economical activity.
Furthermore, during the implementation of this project the intruder and fire alarm and engineering reinforcement systems will be upgraded in accordance with instructions of the Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region of Gomel.
The total extent of financing for building of new productions in the existing enterprises and modernization of the existing productions in 2007 - 2010 will amount to 7,515.2 million rubles out of the budget of the Republic of Belarus.
