The long-term plan of the innovative development of the consumer’s co-operation for the years 2007-2010 includes the creation of new enterprises and new facilities with launching the production at the operating enterprises and modernization of the operating facilities on the basis of introduction of the advanced technologies.

By the year 2010, the implementation of the programme measures will make it possible to increase the share of certified products in the total production volume up to 25 per cent; to reduce the degree of wear of the active part of the fixed industrial and production-related assets down to 53 per cent and to increase the share of expenses for the equipment, tools and inventory in the investments in the fixed capital up to 72.5 per cent.

In the industry, it is planned to create the new enterprise for production and packaging the pasta prepared of flour of hard wheat sorts, new facilities for manufacturing the disposable tableware on the basis of Belcoopprogress Plant Private Unitary Enterprise of the Belarusian Republican Union of Consumer Cooperatives, to implement about 4 innovative projects for modernization of the existing production facilities with introducing the advanced technologies.

In 2007 it is planned to perform the reconstruction of the canning production at “Food Production Complex of the Belarusian Republican Union of Consumer Cooperatives” Private Unitary Enterprise with installing the equipment for dispensing the juices to Tetra Brick Aseptic packs.

In 2007 the works for introducing the facilities for producing the fast-frozen fruit, vegetable and wild-plant products at Ivanovo Consumer’s Cooperative will be completed. This line will make it possible to process the raw fruit, berries and vegetables and to obtain the assorted fast-frozen fruit and berries and vegetable mixtures.

For the years 2007-2009, it is planned to install the modern line for producing nonwoven fabrics at Bobruisk Nonwoven Fabric Production Complex Private Unitary Enterprise.

Within the framework of the branch measures it is planned to perform the modernization the meat processing production (15 enterprises) and technical re-equipment of baking (35 enterprises) and canning (2 enterprises) production.

In the field of public catering, it is planned to open a number of new modern catering objects at highways combining the functions of the public catering and trade with the organization of the functioning of summer grounds, provision of the necessary amenities at the adjacent territories, parking zones, etc.

In the years 2007-2010, a great attention will be paid to the quality of the manufactured products and introduction of the ISO Quality Management Systems at the consumer’s co-operation organizations. By the year 2010, it is planned to increase the number of such facilities up to 50.

The total amount of financing the creation of new enterprises, new facilities at the operating enterprises and modernization of the operating facilities in the years 2007-2010 will be 49,565 million roubles, including that from the Republican Budget’s funds to the amount of 6130 million roubles, from the local budget – 150 million roubles; at the cost of bank credits – 25,885 million roubles and from other sources – 17,400 million roubles.
