A ceremony honoring the state symbols of Belarus was held in Minsk with the participation of Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin.
By this moment Belarus’ largest flag parade, which became part of the ceremony, was over. The flag, a half a kilometer long, was carried through Minsk from the Minsk Hero City monument to the State Flag Square. More than 700 people carried the flag along Pobediteley Avenue.
The cloth of the State Flag is 500 meters long and 9 meters wide. It weighs more than 400kg.
