Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin held a meeting to discuss the establishment of an agricultural machinery holding company based on leading industry enterprises.
“We have gathered to discuss the creation of an agricultural machinery holding company. We need to make a well-considered decision on this matter. Most importantly, our decisions must lead to significant results,” the Head of Government emphasized.
The holding company is planned to include leading agricultural machinery enterprises: the Managing Company of the Lidselmash Holding Company, the Managing Company of the Bobruiskagromash Holding Company, and the Managing Company of the Minsk Motor Plant Holding Company, which comprise 22 organizations and 1 branch.
The holding company will allow all manufacturers to unite under a single brand, eventually increasing machinery brand awareness on export markets. Furthermore, by leveraging the capabilities of the enterprises’ design departments, the group will be able to produce certain types of sophisticated, high-performance equipment.
In the short term, the primary tasks include ensuring swift and flexible coordinated responses to current and medium-term market challenges. Key priorities also involve developing a unified sales network, improving product accessibility for consumers, maintaining and advancing a single production program, and establishing a unified balance sheet.
Addressing these tasks should ensure profit growth – the primary source for implementing investment projects and developing the agricultural machinery industry as a whole.
