Ceremony to honor state symbols kicks off in Minsk

A ceremony to honor the Belarusian state symbols attended by Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin is taking place at the State Flag Square in Minsk.

The event dedicated to the Day of the State Flag, State Emblem and State Anthem of the Republic of Belarus brings together representatives of youth organizations, military-patriotic classes and clubs, public associations, labor collectives, cadets and servicemen.

Simultaneously with the start of the ceremony, a march carrying the flag was organized from Minsk Hero City Stele to the State Flag Square. The flag is being carried by well-known figures from culture, sports and the media.

The ceremony opened with the state anthem of Belarus, after which Aleksandr Turchin read out President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s message of congratulations to his compatriots.

An official ceremony to take oath of allegiance to the state symbols has been held since 2021. The event is designed in a youth-oriented format and aims to foster a sense of pride in citizens for their country.

In the capital, representatives of youth from all regions and from Minsk took the oath of allegiance to the state symbols on behalf of the younger generation.

The festive atmosphere was enhanced by a vocal-choreographic performance and a concert featuring show elements.
