Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin has hosted a government conference to review the civil engineering industry’s performance in January-February 2026 and performance projections for Q1 2026.
Aleksandr Turchin noted: “The objective reasons you could cite in January-February such as weather conditions are now over. We have excellent weather in March. It allows working the entire light day.”
The Prime Minister pointed out that performance varies between regions: some regions work efficiently and hit assigned targets while others do not. At the same time all the decisions have been made, including financial ones, in addition to state and regional investment programs, programs on building housing and infrastructure. There can be no excuses saying that there was no time to spend the appropriated financial resources, Aleksandr Turchin said.
“We still have time till the end of March to catch up with projections,” the Head of Government concluded.
