The Government of Belarus has designated the State Customs Committee as the authorized body to issue a document to be submitted to the customs authorities in order to obtain benefits for electric vehicles imported by legal entities and individuals in accordance with Decision No. 111 of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated December 5, 2025.
The corresponding Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 42 dated January 23, 2026 "On granting powers" was signed by Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin.
The decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission provides for the exemption of motor vehicles with electric motors classified by the code 8703 80 000 3 of the unified Commodity Nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the EEC and imported into Belarus from payment of import customs duties.
It is also stipulated that the tariff privilege is granted subject to the availability of a document issued by the authorized body of the Republic of Belarus containing information about the person importing such goods, the quantity of goods imported by this person and their value.
The adoption of this resolution will make it possible to realize the right to apply benefits in accordance with the Decision of the EEC Council No. 111 for electric vehicles imported into the republic by individuals and legal entities in the amount of 20 thousand units in 2026.
